through her acid-lipped manner
stitched up with glass threads
she paints her face over
with that of showbiz
& sellouts long-forgotten
never let her love you
with her bare hands
((you'll be bruised by twilight
& joining
the Hollywood masquerade))
ginger was a brave soul, she was
...at least,
when she wasn't throwing
her diamonds in the air
and devouring tarnished gold
((i'll love you like mad,
showbiz doll))
she's still got glitter on her hands
"ashes, ashes"
they all fall down
at some point
to where the spotlight will never reach them

i found this to get stronger as it went along.
my favorite part of this poem was the line about the glitter on her hands. for some reason that just raelly stood out to me. i found it very, very strong and effective.
nicely done again,
