Good Night

Missing image
Your arm calmly rests on mine,
as our feet curl up; overlapped,
and your breath kisses my neck.
as you spread out; I am trapped.

So, we lovingly share a pillow,
as another lays by your side,
and we breathe sighs of passion,
as my head, and yours, collide.

A grumble parts your moist lips,
as your cool pillow welcomes you,
your arms thrash as you turn,
and I pull back the duvet you threw.

As I settle back in a dreamy sleep,
the warm thought enters my head,
it shows me just how you love me,
when you blindly spread out in bed.

Author notes

To try and stay focused I concentrated on only one bad habbit - hogging the bed. He does it, and whatsmore he doesn't even realise. I love him, but it is annoying.

    Humm very beautiful indeed ..I love it...It is a way to represent the life in the circumstances...The story board of the words here represents the universal truth and brings the philosophy of the life with so much intensity and truth as well...Indeed it is very beautiful immagery and impact is just very nice too..

    Excellent poem- made me laugh because it is so true!........how many of us have the worst night's sleep ever but still have a smile for our lovers. Loved it.

    Mine doesnt hog the bed, he tends to hog the covers, but I found a way around that. Loved the poem though, even though it's about being a bed hog, it is still beautifully written and sweet.

      Cheers. It was written for a contest that requires you to write about bad habbits, that's why the subject's odd.
      Well my other half hogs the actual bed, he rolls over so far that he shares my pillow and I end up squashed lol.
