Being a small fish, in a very large pond,
is a dangerous thing to be.
Larger fish attack, from out of no where,
some causing damage and pain.
Always running, trying to escape,
just to live another day.
But there comes a time, when pain over rides,
the natural desire to survive.
Damaged and scarred, after every attack,
finally takes a toll on you.
Maybe it's easier, to go belly up,
when cause and effect catches up with you.
Author notes
Cause and effect: too small and weak, used and abused. Finally the big and strong trample and destroy the soft and weak.

Survival of the fittest I guess. Either get fit or get out. It's a hard fact to come to grips with but we either get strong or spend our life curled up in a ball hiding.
Too many people that just don't care ... Nice write that expresses this whole situation well. Thank you for the entry. -
Calling all toilet paper people! The soft and strong MUST rise up before we ALL get flushed! It will never happen. We all feel the same way, and none of us will try to stop it. They are outnumbered, but the uncaring will win simply because THEY DON'T CARE. I like the piece, but am reminded by it that this is a world full of cowards and fools. Very expressive write, and very pointed. Pray for the toilet paper people to stand up, pray for hope.

And society picks up the pieces of everyone's broken hearts while the strong and powerful move on to trample more of us in their consequence of sins. Wonder sometimes if we elect the man or the promise? Surely if we view the man our judgement tells us beady eyes are not a good thing? Loved it.

So true. The soft hearted and caring just get the crap beat out of them time and time again. Thanks for the great comment.
