My Dearest Child, I want you to remember
Always stay true to yourself,
the worst person you can lie to, is yourself.
Staying honest with yourself,
will allow you to have the control over your life that you deserve.
No one has power over your actions, but you
blaming someone else, is giving away your personal power.
Take responsibility for your actions,
it is the only way you will learn from your mistakes
Hold your head high, and remember,
if you respect yourself, others will follow your lead.
This includes respecting your body.
remember, respect returns respect
You have complete control over your body
only you can decide what you do with it
the clothes you wear, what you put into your body
these things show others, what kind of person you are
Be yourself, never let anyone scare you into silence
You are unique and beautiful, inside and out
express yourself, take freedom and pride in who you are
if someone cant like you for who you are, it is their loss
If you make a mistake, own up to it
learn from it and move on
keep faith in yourself, have courage to say no
and to defend yourself
Life is about experiencing joy and happiness
it is also about, feeling pain and sorrow
so we can appriciate the good things that we've been given
let yourself feel, its the only way to live
You are special, you are worthy
you are wise, capable and strong
allow yourself to feel these things
and never let anyone, not even me, tell you different

i love this... i tell mine on a regular basis that if you own up to it then the strife is not as bad -

I agree. Owning up to your actions, is the first step to learning from your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, it's part of life, but its when we lie about them, that we are cheating ourselves, from the lesson we are meant to learn. And then, you can move on. No one is perfect, and our children should never deny themselves the oppertunity to learn the hard lessons

I love that you care about your children so much, that gives me faith in a world where children, dont always seem to be the number one priority, even though they should be.
