I remember you.
When I met you, everyone else shaking hands in formal chat.
You went in and hugged me, kissed me on the cheek.
Everyone else seemed to cease existing
as you pulled away, still holding my hand.
Then the next time when I saw you,
The best friend of an unfortunate aquatintence.
exchanging meaningful glances over orange juice
and setting the world aright.
I remember that.
Sitting in the restaurant and the embarrassment,
The bungee ride that didn't seem safe,
Shopping for scarves,
You on the floor of my bedroom,
innocently watching a cheesy film as I sprawled out next to you.
You smiled and said I was perfect as I am, I was huggable.
No one had ever said that before.
I remember you.
I remember when he told me you were leaving.
I remember everything I should of said.
I think about it when I stare at that Painting.
A last embrace, the same as I first one.
You walked away and never came back.
Your the furthest away you could ever be.
I never told you what you meant to me.
I threw away everything to remind me.
That's what I'll always regret.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE PROMPT (THE ENTIRE THING) INYOUR AUTHORS COMMENTS SO I CAN KNOW WHICH ONE WAS YOUR CHOICE. IF YOU DONT, YOUR POEM WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
I will give you a chance to revise your poem. I havent read or judged it yet and if you correct the authors comments, you will be judged fairly. There was one rule, it confuses me how anyone could miss following a single request. Please revise.
