When I in awe look down upon those eyes angelic and true,
Such innocence does take my heart and turn it black and blue,
For I did not in all my years see such a time would come,
When I in all my haste would want to live till time was done,
But in those tiny hands and within those little feet,
are all the angels blessings sent for me to greet,
and now I find my nights are long my days are longer still,
for I just want to be with you and keep away your ills,
I stare at you when your sleeping and hasten for you to wake,
for I do fear that time is short and memories I must make,
That you will always remember me and never a day to lose,
for I shall one day not be there, the time I shall not choose,
Each and every single day that I am standing here,
I will try my hardest to protect your life from tears,
I surround your very body with the love within my heart,
And encapsulate your spirit with mine, we will never be apart,
My Grandson you have given me the greatest gift of all,
I have never wanted life so much as I do now you are here,
and I treasure every moment that you and I do share,
Thankyou for allowing me to know a love so true,
The Gift of Life, The Gift of Love, Born when I saw you...

Oh this is just absoluty beautiful, there is nothing quite the smile of your grandchild, from his breath
to his tiny hands, to his wondering little eye's.
It does make you just want to stay around forever.

Beautifully written from the heart
Dear Coralie, it's so wonderful to see awrite from you, especially one about your precious Grand Son.
It's an entirely different feeling to having your own when the grand children begin to arrive and Terence sounds like a real angel, and you are a very proud Grandma. Congratulations my dear Coralie.
Love Joan
