Apartment 7-358 E

Honkey-tonk tune floats through my ceiling tiles
Foot tapping too keeping the beat
The voice drones barely on key
Bars should be the only places for karoke.

Author notes

Ah...the joy of drunken neighbors...
At least I'm a quiet drunk.
You walk out of a bar if the singing goes south of good taste... hm...that's an idea maybe I'll go to a bar.

what's the worst honkey-tonk tune you've ever heard?

    They're all horrible! lol

I relate, I relate, damn it do I relate. I have one upstairs and he plays Tammy Wynette. And he opens his door just so we'll all hear it. It makes me want to poke sharp objects in my eye to focus the pain somewhere else. I've taken to copying Hawkwind and other great stuff of mine and giving it to him so he'll play that instead! It works sometimes. Gave him a load of Pink Floyd but I'll end up sick of them though. I used to like The Doors but he's played them so much I can't stand em now!

Wow I needed that, bit of letting off steam, thanx

Love, light & peace & QUIET!!!

I needed that! A big laugh. Tammy Wynette, eh? Yuck! I think I wouldkindly invite him to shut his door. Glad you got a chance to vent - it helps from time to time. I know what you mean. My roommate used to play the album Hotel California by the Eagles so much I got sick of them for a long time.
Ha! Cheers! to having no more shared apartments. or at least to having neighbors with good musical taste.
      peace...
