Do you fear the reaper?
That eternal time keeper,
When that scyth doth drop,
When he gathers in his crop,
We return from where we came,
For everyone's the same,
He gives us life, just for a while,
Then takes it back, with an evil smile,
To those that say death is unjust,
Consider this, I feel they must,
Without that shadow, dressed in black
What would we have to take back?
For we're all just the reaper's pet,
And to him we owe this debt,
He gave to us, our every breath,
To pay him back, we give our death.

dont fear the reaper
way to rip off the oyster cult...they do all the work and you "reap" the benefits...oh yea...that pun was unintentional by the way

For everyone's the same,
He gives us life, just for a while,
Then takes it back, with an evil smile,"

I liked this a lot.
Your last stanza was my favorite:
"For we're all just the reaper's pet,
And to him we owe this debt,
He gave to us, our every breath,
To pay him back, we give our death."
Thanks for entering.
Best of luck!
