I remember when rolling in the mud
Seemed like such a good idea
Now i'm not so sure
Because once it's done
It won't ever wash off
Being innocent was dull
But anyone can fake it,
And everyone can tell when you don't
Because it shines bright grey
It's become tainted
Now it's like a competition
Not here nor there
Not somewhere in the middle
Just a kind of nothing
And I don't think I can bring it back,
Not on my own
Because it's heavy
And the mud has made it stick
Exactly where it is
Because it doesn't want to be salvaged.

I liked the beginning, and the images push forth the thought very well. Thank you for entering the contest and good luck!
