Just wanted to call and let you know
that I changed your right rear tire
because it's snowing out and thought
I'd better do that since you're still
not quite sure how and I don't want
you out in the freezing cold
trying to figure out how to work
the jack.
And I went ahead and finished your laundry
since I had a load to do. Hope you don't mind.
I like that new pair of jeans you have
they're pretty cool. (I hope you didn't
spend TOO much money on them)
I found your journal when I was cleaning
but I didn't open it.
Did you know that you saved
my life once? When I found out
I was going to have you.
I stopped
drinking
smoking
(cigarettes and pot)
having sex
with anybody
all because you're
worth it.
Be safe coming home, the snow's a bitch this winter.
oh, P.S. Don't use the raspberry
jell-o to dye your hair this weekend,
that's for your sister's birthday party.
Luv ya, kiddo

8. Call them, but they don't answer, so you leave a message saying how much you love them.

I really liked this....just enough sentiment..just enough humor...

Ahhh, this is sweet. Of course I can't understand the heart of a parent but it's clear from this that your son healed you from the mistakes in your previous life before him. Excellent job, keep writing. Thanks for entering.
Love you

This is simply beautiful. So many of those motherly moments are portrayed with the delicacy only a mother could possess. The underlying concerns peep through the portrait to create a bond as strong as life itself. Good luck in the competition this is most deserving of a win.
