I walked beneath the moon
On that quiet night
Alone amongst the wisdom of the earth
Standing silent between the trees
I saw the silhouette of grace
Her form grew from the earth
A sister to the slender saplings
And she swayed in the slightest
Of gentle caressing breezes
That ventured that moonlit path
The moon’s beams
Gently played upon her face
In a soft embrace of light
Irrepressible, in its' coy beguiling game
The moon hid behind a cloud
Emerging to shine
Joyous upon the world
Dazzling my eyes
Sought to perceive her peace
But only trees now
Graced that moonlit grove
