Miss you Dad.

Your smiling face,
the contagious laughter,
your love of us,
your four daugthers.

Always determined
to make your way,
becoming a jeweler
when I was just a baby.

motorcycles and animals,
a love for nature
that I absorbed,
a love for people
that everyone flocked to.

And then two years ago,
reality hit;
a common surgery
came back with Cancer.

Weeks went by,
as I silently watched
you die just a little bit
and I was helpless
to fix your hurt.

And your words haunt me,
still to this day,
Missy I'm sorry
I wont be around
to be there for you
and your boys

so this is a poem
about my Dad
who I have loved
every single day
of my life.

Because I really
really
miss you Dad.
