Is this me
In the naughted hair
Discolored cheeks
Bruised by rough hands
Is this me
Cowering in a corner
Waiting for the impact
From the fight
That left you volatil
Is this me
Picking up the phone
And slamming it back down
Without the courage
To stop all the insanity
Is this me
With no friends
And no life
Because of your tight grip
On my reality
Is this me
Walking out the door
Into the sunshine
And you grabbing my by the hair
Pulling me back into your imaginary world
Where everything is all right
And what you are doing is not wrong
And I love you
And you love me
But face the facts
I am human just like you
And as you damage my already weak body
Just listen to my screams
That you cause
From the pain you submerge in me
Is this me
Finally strong enough to tell you this
With all the courage in my bones
I call 911 after another bloody beating
Is this me
Finally free of your grasp
Never to be bothered by you again

I personally understand the sentiment. I didn't care for the first line repetition but that is just my opinion. Thanks for the entry.
