A heart corrodes when bathed in many tears
Black, rusted, cracked, and broken was my core
It toiled in vain, not human anymore
A machine pumping ashes used to years
Devoid of reason, happiness, or fears
Fears of awesome beauties wondered for
Hopes once known, then gone forevermore
A squeaking, churning urn with my death near
I sent a prayer to Love without a hope
My heart let out a cry as if it gasped
The prayer was sent to Love in faith alone
Love heard my prayer, across the winds it roamed
Miracles can be within our grasp
The faith returned, and brought me to Love’s home
