Here I sit on AP again -
Another day of subbing
first day of the new semester
no outline, no texts
so take kids to the
computer lab
so they can play games
and I can write poetry.
Love getting paid
to do this.
Wouldn't trade jobs with
anyone today.

Subbing can have it's benefits, can't it. Cut poem.

I love this! So true, is it not. I would not trade one day of this myself. I was so down last week without the computer to write on. I wrote of course, but just not the same. Very insightful and fun little read.
I would not trade them either.
Love

I love your poems. I envy you and I admire your appreciation for your blessings.
I like this poem for the insight it gives me to you the beautiful person you are.
The flow the meter and the structure stink. I’m sorry.

lol - I loved this.

My wife works as a sub for the county of orange, she goes to one of the prisons or one of the continuation schools - she'd kill to have a break like this one in your poem every once and a while.
Blessings and best wishes, ~r.
