Tart be sweet?
No bitter and dull
Your harsh words
Have made me recoil
Why give my heart
To another man

Break my heart
Rip it from my chest
Why stop it now

The rest being my love
The rest being my trust
Why give it again?

How blind am I?
Why do I deserve?
To be so hurt
It is absurd…

I too have felt this pain and this speaks loudly for those who do not speak for themselves!! You have truly brought out the pain and feelings we go through when dealing with someone who hurts us like this.. Very well done my friend!!

I like this poem. I have felt this way so many times, even now when my life is good I can still feel the pain of my past. You penned this poem very well, it expresses the pain, anguish and distrust caused by someone who so ruthlessly broke your heart. Kudos to you for a poem well written!
