The sky spreads out,
Its arms,
Welcome to the night.
A New light,
Has been cast,
Down through
Veiled air,
The mist rises,
They meet,
Dance.
Sharp swords,
Penetrate through,
me,
I breathe,
I ride,
To meet the crying wind.
Tears,
Fall,
Crash.
Shattered,
Reflecting the stars.
The sky spreads out,
Its arms,
Welcome to the night.

This paints the sadness that can surround us as the night falls. Great imagery! I appreciate you taking the time and making the effort to enter my contest. Thank you and good luck!

(Again welcome to AllPoetry, let me know if you ever need anything-)
Like your poem 'Skinny', this has amazing imagery, but the wording is so subtle and careful that it is not overblown or overdone- I like that, your style is really intriguing.

welcome to allpoetry
Very nice.. I like your descriptions. vivid, real ..enough to paint a picture and not too much..leaves a bit of mystery..as the night does/can. I don't think you need all the commas.. interupts the flow a bit (for me). stiull, I enjoyed reading your words. Thank you for sharing. I hope you will continue writing and sharing your thoughts/talent with us all.
