Lavender incense drips the cabin
of an old fashioned sailboat.
I breathe it as if there was
nothing that could allure me.
He stands there blissfully
looking out of the window
into the infinite seas
thinking maybe.
I gaze at him passionately
moving my eyes over him
leisurely and enjoying it.
He turns to look at me.
Our eyes meet
and a chill runs through me
rushing so fast that for a minute
I am caught up in a trance.
He whispers gently in my ear
probing me to speak.
I blush a shade of red
then losing all colour
when he wraps his hands around my hip
pulling me closer to him
like there was nothing
he would desire
than being with me.
Words flow like an unending song
as I tell him
how much I love him.
He stares down at me
with a smile so pleasing
and after hearing me speak
his lips reach mine
and the passion lights up
that had been missing all my life.
The time to tell him had come.
I had told him that I loved him.
He had understood by feelings.
And the biggest thing was
he had felt the same.
Now I lie next to him
caught in his embrace
thinking what I never had
and I realise
there is nothing more I would ever want...
