In this hollow place
My pen in hand
I write in the dark
I take a stand
I come to this "palace"
Just to get away
If it was possible
Here I'd forever stay
It brings me comfort
When I feel grief
Taking one breath here
Fills me with relief
Many see it empty
Only shallow halls
Instead of being captured
They stumble and fall
They see rubble and dirt
They see weeds not vines
But I do not care
For this place is mine
I fear the day it falls
For this is my home
But never in my mind will it
For I remember each stone
This place is my inspiration
It's my strength and my might
It warms my deepest parts
On winter's coldest nights
If at all possible
Find your own escape
For this place is my shelter
And it could one for you create
I'd Love To Hear Your Thoughts!

I liked this one, too. It is so important to have a safe place where you can express your thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
