~~Shimmering Sand Dunes~~

Missing image
Lovely dunes of silvery-white sand
With waves that curl like beckoning hands
Calls me to the other side
To view the splendor,
Of the ocean's tide~

Inviting waters of a lovely blue- green,
White crested waves
Crowned like a queen
With the waves rolling up on the shore,
Sweeping the seashells into the water once more~

Shimmering sugar-white sands on the beach
Cooled by salt spray and gentle breeze,
Seagulls circling the sky
What a beautiful place,
Waiting for you
Hidden,
Behind silver white dunes~

Geez, this makes me wanna go back to Florida, it was so peaceful there, you could just sit on the beach and relax, no one would bother you and no one cared how long you spent just taking it all in. The sound of the waves riding across the sand and beating up against the rocks.. It was the most amazing thing anyone could ever experience. This reminds me of how extraordinary the ocean and beaches could be. Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem.
