*~ Cement Gardens ~*

Missing image

~*~

Lovely

Bluebonnets in

spring. Winter has ceased to

bind your desire. Seedlings are deep

within.

~*~

Blossom,

inhaling warmth

from dry cement gardens.

Expand your green thriving leaves to

flourish.

~*~

You may

smell my fragrance.

Perfumed powders of blue

enhance our time shared together,

touch me.

~*~

I look

forward to greet

you after winters' freeze.

My strength must continue to love

just you.

~*~

Gather

my seeds, planting

them amongst your flowers.

Quilts of sewn fabric are no match

for you.

~*~

My heart

leaps for joy when

walking down the sidewalk,

and there you are, waiting, always,

my Love.

This stands out as one of the best pieces I have read at AP. You are a form master, and had I been told this was someone else, someone well published from long ago, I would not have given it a second thought. I cool in the shadow you create by the huge branches of your lyric. This is not a phony revelrie, nor an attempt to just respond to something without really saying anything at all. You caught nature, and I am sure you capture many other things as well. I can walk this walk and talk this talk because you showed me how. I cannot write like this and am enlarged to have had the opportunity to absorb such a fine piece of verse. RC

    Gorgeous penning...

    Wow bro...wow...

A gorgeous chain and so poetic with every elloquent line, not forgetting how romantic it reads, just took my breath away...I like this line 'from dry cement gardens' you wouldn't think flowers could grow from cement but I have seen it many times but also I like the double meaning as a metaphor...

A most delightful read, I hope you are smiling today

    love you loads bro

I came here seeking some sort of beauty and warmth....
I am going through something so painful right now, and watching the passing of someone you love day after day can be so cold and heartbreaking...Your poem was like a breath of fresh air...I was drawn to it. I have barely been on much but I needed a break and I chose a beautiful poem to read in beautiful form......

I am adding your name to my prayer list as we speak.....it sits here on my desk inside of my Bible which I pray over every night ~

If I had names in general, I could add them as well......I always believe that God wants us to pray for individuals on *personal* needs ~

I hope you have found some warmth and peace within this poem, because I too, know the difficulties of watching someones life drain from their body....my last two lovers were the hardest ~

If I can help in any way, or if you just wanna chat...please, let me know ~

Sending warm breezes and gentle soothing thoughts your way ~

      How ironic ~
I just found Sadona two years ago on vacation ~

I was 400 miles from home with my two boys headed toward Arkansas and of all things, we pull off into a rest stop and there is my friend, ( a trucker), who is in AA with me back in southern california, and he and I talked for a while....and eventually, he asked if I had ever taken that north highway that goes right past Sadona....and of course I said no......Well, he told he it was about 25 miles up the highway to the exit and then about 10 miles off the next highway ~

      But he said I wouldn't regret it..............and we didn't ~

Such a facinating place to be....It went from 100* to 47* in just one hour when I started climbing the road leading around Sadona ~

It was misty...foggy...chilly.....but it was gorgeous.....and we got out at the top and walked around.....it was really nice ~

Thanks for bringing back some great memories ~
