Puddles

A recurring memory
Of a puddle
Without water
Brings me here today
To say
That a puddle
Without water
Is just a change
In the inclination
Of the ground.

So in the reality,
Without water
A puddle
Ceases to exist.

Author notes

Thank you for enjoying my poetry, sorry if it was less than enjoyable, or less than poetic. This came to me in a moment of reflection on a line in another poem. Anyhow, I must be off again.

Please tell me what you think

Ha! ^-^ This is cool, I luv poems that are just thoughts and this one got me thinking too. I believe the complete opposite that you conclude with, you say that a without water, there is no puddle existing. But you also say that a puddle without water is a simple inclination of the ground. So then wouldn't everything be a puddle if the ground could be lowered? Isn't everything a puddle waiting to happen? Jeez I am crazy but what you said makes a lot of sense too, if there is no water, it is not a puddle, but it _could_ be, or...like...yeah. K ENOUGH rambling I adore this and I enjoy your cute little style of thought-poetry. Quite pleasant. Indeed!
