I am complete and for this I am evil
Everything, I know, let me comfort you
A blanket of thoughts, of color unseen
Hope is hindered in my presence
With you at all times, I am invisible
Inside you I live, inspired by life
Blood and death are my entourage
Though it is not I who makes it so
On your mind always at some level
Don’t be ashamed, hypocritical them
They cast me away, and so you believe
That Evil and I are one in the same
I am knowledge; complete understanding
I am not one, but many, so many
Religion’s fear, all except one
They do not realize without me, they’re none
I give you solace, and quiet and life
Sheltering your mind, keeping you hidden
Energy and life, and then again not
Ether am I, the invisible substance
What gives you sanity, or takes it away
I hide your fears, I hide your tears
I provide solitude instead of exposure
I give you all, and for this I am evil

This is something I thought of a while ago but just now got around to writing because of this contest. It's in the perspective of Darkness, or the color black. Whichever =]. It's one and the same. Tell me exactly what you think.
