Enlightenment for a Sordid Age (A brief monologue)

Freak?

You have the audacity to call me such a thing?

People like me aren't "freaks." We are Society's bastard children. Your world - your lives birthed us. The once benevolent Mother Earth has been turned into a crack-snorting, filthy whore by your hands. Your community idolizes conformity and needs its mindless drones in order to operate "correctly." Look around yourself, what do you see? A world laced in drugs, saturated in alcohol, and ruled by the corrupt. Rape and murder are rampant and you glamorize all of this and call it "entertainment."

THAT'S freaky.

You spend your lives obsessed with the pathetic existences of degenerate people who's only worth is in thier checkbook and you have the blindness to believe they are the quintessence of existance in this modern world. Well, perhaps they are... and perhaps that is why your culture is conceiving the "freaks." You hide from all that is wrong in the world in sterile offices and you drown the tormented screams of nature in your sappy and tasteless music.

Is it such a wonder that someone wouldn't want that? After being spoon-fed toxins since birth, don't you think someone would begin to taste the poison? Your world is SICK, and I don't want any part of it.
