When I heard the news that you tour was extended
I must say I cried.
Your daughter is so beautiful, she has your eyes
She has your smile, and your laugh
If only you could see her now, Pete, you would be so proud
But she'll be one before you see her again
I'm graduating soon
And I'll be going off to college
But when you get home, we'll be there together
I miss you big brother
You were allways there to protect me
So you have to make it home, Petey
If you don't, who'll fight for me?

ok i love that u extended this poem. u know wht i noticed though is that 1. Relient K's new CD dropped today, and 2. (most important) u wrote this poem before ur brother had his leg blown off right?? Read the first line. did u not notice that????

sooo.. i basically don't like one line poems. i know u were writing this 4 a contest but still i just don't like the feel of it at all. please dont kill me. so now that the contest is over, u could expand on it. this is an excellent topic. excellent title. all it needs is a few more lines. maybe throw in some reason y u want him 2 come home. i mean why wouldn't u. he is ur brother. or, u could say something about how ur friends like him. i have no idea how they could like him. After all, all hes doing 4 us is fighting 2 defend our freedoms. oh yeah and the whole flagpole thing. -
