This old house lost in time.
This old house where the dead once dined.
Whispers of murders, parties, and sorrows.
Whispers of love affairs that saw no tommorow.
Now the house stands abandoned and old.
Now the secrets it holds will never be told.
But it will hold the next story that walks through it's door.
It will hold it forever, forever more.

J -- I had the opportunity to get a sneek peek at this a few days ago. Now that I see it in context with the picture, I like it even more. Well done, friend. See you around. -Z

good write! I really enjoyed this poem. The line "now the secrets it holds will never be told" reminds me of an old house that was misplaced in my neighborhood growing up. It was a two-story house painted a deep red and it always had candles in all of the windows. I never saw anyone come in or out of it, and I always wandered who lived there...Now as an adult I drive by it from time to time of course the paint is chipped but the color remains the same and the candles are gone...and sometimes I think if only those walls could speak...

Welcome to allpoetry
This sounds like a haunted house. Haunted by the secrets it holds. I like how it gives me a little chill. Thanks for sharing.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
