The night was still
I was restless
There was an ever knowing
magic surrounding the woods
The sky was lit up from the
brilliance of the moon
Treetops sparkling like diamonds
The night becoming a festival
of light
A powerful force was among us
Then it came
A howl in the distance
A howl so strong
reconnecting to the essence
of life
He stood magnificent
in his strength
fur glistening in the
darkness
walking on a path of
light
A calmness came over me
I was restless no more

This is a peice that gives goose bumps. It opens a primordial place within that is burried deep from times passing. It awakens the primative side and reminds us that not long ago we listened to the night around us and feared the dark. I loved it!

Oh yes....you know my connection to the wolf/wolves and how I have written about their howl through a window left open on purpose to let the sound in....
