Kerbela

The redness of the twilight reminds the world,
Of the butchery inflicted on the souls,
Who were the most sacred, the most exalted!
For whom the Almighty created the universe!
All the Prophets and holy men
From Adam and Noah to Moses and Christ,
Delivered happy news of their arrival in world,
And sought their love to please the Lord.
The holy grandson sacrificed his life,
Presented the lives of dearest ones,
The last Prophet (peace be upon him) and his holy family,
Underwent torments to save the Message,
The message for which Adam preached,
The Message for which Noah created Arch,
The message for which Abraham dived in highest flames,
The message for which Ishmael presented his life,
The message for which Isaac stressed upon,
The message for which Jacob cried,
The message for which Joseph was thrown into well dark,
The message for which Moses challenged the Pharaoh
The message for which David raised arms,
The message for which Solomon built Jerusalem,
The message for which Zakariya was brutally murdered,
The message for which holy John was beheaded,
The message for which the holy Mary was beleaguered,
The message for which the Christ was tried to be crucified,
The message which appeared in dark cave Hera,
Like the brightest of the reddening Phoebus,
That brightened all the world at large,
That eclipsed each and every evil.
The greatest of messages from Greatest Lord,
To fill the world with virtue and peace,
The message for which the Last Prophet was tried,
Yes, the Prophet Muhammad faced the series of sufferings,
The message for which Muhammad tolerated all grievances,
The message for which Ali launched crusade against devil,
The message for which Ali was assassinated,
The message for which Fatima trained her children,
And lead a life as the most chaste since ever,
The message for which Hassan abdicated to let
The criminal-most enjoy worldly gains;
The great message for which Holy Hussain sacrificed his life, hundreds of years ago,
Also, offered the lives of his brothers, sons, nephews and followers,
The holiest family was kept hungry and thirsty,
At the bank of the running river Euphrates at Kerbela,
The most virtuous ladies were made captives,
The most-exalted family bore all mere to preserve,
The holiest message of the Most Beneficent,
Hundreds of years have passed away,
Yet Almighty has kept their names alive.
Those who lead their lives to spread His message,
Cannot be forgotten till the Day of Resurrection!!
