Oh, how I can weep
At my own ugliness
It can take me down
To unfathomable depths
Down where the
Ocean currents
Cause the seaweed
To ripple and sway
In bleeding colours
Washing away
Goodbye
Oh, how I laugh
At this ironic future
This future I never expected
Breath by breath
One step at a time
I am alive
In the purest moment
This precious moment callled now
My breath is like the sea
It never sleeps
So timely and insistant
It beats against the shore
Inviting me to embrace
It's rythmical beauty
When we dance
In harmony
Across that infinite
And divine space within
I'm beauty personified
Oh, how I can weep
At my own self-loathing
Yet in that beautiful place
Inside of me
I'm love personified
Please tell me what you think

SO BEAUTIFULLY EXPRESSED!
I often feel my own ugliness and so forth but then I am reminded of how much difference I have made to a few others and then I feel so much better about myself. This is a truly beautiful poem my dear friend.

delightful
such a delightful poem that brought a smile onto my lips and goosebumps onto my shoulders (I call this "the touch of angels") ...
thank you for reminding me this morning of the reality of who I am, chasing away the grey clouds of the stormy night ...

It is part of the human condition to contain the love and loathing of oneself, isn't it? This piece has the feel of ebbing and flowing of waves going back and forth between loving and loathing. Quite amazing. Enjoyed reading this, tara. thanks for sharing it.

INSPIRING!!!!!!!
Your words are so uplifting as they talk of how one feels so down on themselves at times yet always manages the courage to go on and hold their head high. Truly beautiful poem!

Oh sweet Tara. This is a theme echoed by spiritual poets throughout the ages. St. Theresa, and St. Francis immediate come to mind. Within the sludggy mass that we are irradiates a beautiful Light!
Marvelous work!
Namaste!
