What I Call Insane (To The Fog On The Windowpane)

You're off to face them all alone,
They'll tear the skin from off your bones,
As my protests echo, lost in vain
I lose you to what I call insane

Because today is a day for changes
Your attention runs to hotline sages
And modern day scam artist mages
Your 'self-betterment' ignites my rages
You'll ignore me for whatever fate arranges
Because today is a day for changes

You'd kill yesterday for a better tomorrow
You'd leave your family in sorrow
As you throw your name to nowhere
And take their train to God knows where
You're what I'd call selfish, except,
It seems I'm no better myself,
I care but it's mostly for me,
You see, I'm a creature of familiar comfort
And you're gone, no care for how I'll burn and hurt

You're off to leave me all alone
They've stolen you despite my moans
As my breath fogs up the windowpane,
I watch as you drive me insane

Author notes

Only hint, cults. It came off more as a relationship thing though.

You have a great gift for rhyme verse. It doesn't sound forced at all. It reads almost as if you choose the words for their own merit and they just happened to rhyme with eachother. Great job.

Hmm......well, I have to say, this's very interesting. I like it makes perfect sense, like a disembodsied thought of mine. It really resounds.

Very, very good and well done.
