I can feel you as you
Place your hands on me.
Cradling me face to wipe my tears.
When everyone left
You stayed.
You don't even know me,
But still you stayed.
My heart is broken and twisted.
My soul is lost and has no power to save me.
My eyes are dead and burning with tears.
My body has hardened against the world...or so I thought.
And yet despite all of that
You came to my side.
To my rescue.
A stranger in the mist of growing crowd.
A light in my endless dark.
A rose in a pointless battle.
You thoughtless act
Gave me hope
I thought to be dead.
Who knew
My life would be saved
By the kindness of a stranger.
Author notes
I chose to write about option #2. I hope you like it, I don't usually write about hope or anything similar to it. With that said I hope I didn't do too bad.

Goodness, such powerful words! I truly hope that I will one day be so fortunate. I don't generally do happy, hopeful poetry either, as you saw in "Twisted", but this one caught my attention and absolutely blew me out of the water. Excellent job!
All the best,
Laura

Awe. :[
It's so emotionally elevated. To be picked up out of a troubled time by a stranger, well, that's not something you read about every day. Nonetheless it was very well written. You didn't even need rhyming to tie this one together, which of course is awesome. Great work. =o

Being comforted when you're sad is one of the best things. it's even better when you know a total stranger cares about your feelings."I hope I didn't do too bad"? Seriously? I loved it! it was wonderful. great job!

Beautiful....
Hope from a stranger...You painted a picture...and gave your reader a sense of the helplessness your character felt...until this savior came along. Great write...
