    Touchingly poignant

My dear this is so close to home and excellently worded. The 'because I see you' is very good. You have captured the spirit of a disabled in just a few words. God Bless. Marianna

    A wonderful insight!

Personally, I do not know anyone with such physical challenges although I am aware of some confined to wheelchairs, using canes, sightless..
The lines that I felt said it all are "relentlessly disguising your strength in weakness".
    That is a wonderful insight.
Helps me understand the disabled so much better. So many people who are disabled accomplish so much and I feel you captured that so well ("pressing on, unyielding, unwavering, relentlessly..)
A very good write and a true sensitivity to the challenges faced in some lives. Jadon

      Disabled

Thankyou so much Jadon. You know this poem happens to be about a couple I know and whom stayed with us for a few months. They are both developementally disabled. One more severely then the other. But they ended up having a child that the State stepped in and took away. It was so sad, it broke me up! I love them both so much and they are so simple in their faith and hearts.........I learned so much from them both! God bless them!

    Terrific...

This is a great piece that gives due acknowledgement to someone who overcomes daily adversity. Such people can often be some of the most inspiring individuals we can ever know. There was a kid I taught a few years ago who didn't have any legs at all...he walked around on his hands, and he was pretty quick too. He was in the band and he played guitar, and he was nearly always in good spirits. Such people remind me to keep my yap shut whenever I start to feel sorry for myself, or begin thinking that I can't do something. In my book they are a livng, breathing blessing to all of us. Great write and God bless.

This has a quiet sense of solitude about it...it makes us pause & ponder our own existence...there are many layers that require us to unveil our own thoughts in perspective...good imagery & language, grand flow...It's always a great comfort when someone really sees us for who we are...not what they think we should be, but the unflinching reality of ourselves...Thank you for entering my contest...Be well, Poet... Dedication

Very complimentary showing the admiration and beauty of a person pressing on trough thick & thin to accomplish each day something for the feelings gained within the accomplishment. Beautifully penned. Good luck my friend, Don
