where we are.

the cold damp day is all in a disarray
we sit and we wait for the chance of the new day
all around it is blue
but not as long as i am seated alongside you
time goes by and yet we dont change
we sit and we wait for our old age
you stray
but not to far
for the deep blue water keeps you
our boat
we sit
it leaks
i hold on
you jump  out
i see you swim to another boat
the boat helps you up
i am to far away
i watch
i wait
i feel the rain begin to fall
and all at once i feel i have nothing at all
an outsider stranded in her boat
from the rain comes the fog and i cant see
but could it be distanity in front of me?
did i avoid it till i came to this boat?
the water splashes against my boat
i struggle to hold on
but i cant any longer
i scream for your help
i scream for your attention
i scream for your protection
but the boat you have found now is new
and i have nothing new to give you
the new boat has new oars and new sails
and all i have is old fables ad tales
for you the best i want
but to need you is not best for me or you
i fall now
over the edge of our boat which i held on to so tight
tha boat which i gained so much sunlight
where i could have stand and lived forever
where i kissed you with my eyes closed so very tight
all dreams are lost now
no need for my company
no need for me
no need for you to spend the rest of your life with me
because i am drowning now
falling deeper and deeper into the deep blue water
i am dead now
you could not save me now if you tried
i look up through my lifeless eyes and i still see our boat
it rocks
it floats
our leak is bended
it hopes
but hope doesnt float
for hope stays deep inside
with our emotions
and all of our lies
to much has been said
to little has been done
this is where i leave my poem for now
till tha day comes
for our boat to perhaps
breath life
once again.

    Thanks!!!!! Lovely!

Thank you for the entery! I loved your poem. I think, in my view, the boat is your hope/love and it really got to me.
