Men don't make passes
at ladies who sit on their
welfare asses.
Ladies don't like
a man who always watch Spike
but act like he still of age
to ride a trike.
You know we got too many
expectations
of our ethnic nations.
We talk integration,
or make a national sensation,
yet too often are too cheap
to make that crucial
realization.
We wanna say
tell the truth.
But too often,
we just be ruth,
not ruthless.
at ladies who sit on their
welfare asses.
Ladies don't like
a man who always watch Spike
but act like he still of age
to ride a trike.
You know we got too many
expectations
of our ethnic nations.
We talk integration,
or make a national sensation,
yet too often are too cheap
to make that crucial
realization.
We wanna say
tell the truth.
But too often,
we just be ruth,
not ruthless.
Author notes
I just want to add this is not aimed at any ethnic group, but more to all people who are languishing in poverty, homelessness, joblessness, or just dead end jobs. I wish to encourage and empower, not insult, not glower. Peace out, my peoples! I love ya all. Tough love, some times, but real love. Later!

I like the way you talked about the facts of our today-society. The comparison between men and women thoughts. But yet, my favorite part is the end:
“We wanna say /tell the truth./But too often,/we just be ruth,/not ruthless.”
I thank you for sharing your thoughts here with us and wish you best of luck in the contest you have entered :-)
