The Reality of Tomorrow

 Then

what wonders lie within this mind
shining through blue eyes
nothing there is so refined
amazement waiting in surprise

what dreams are taking root
what thoughts  of days to come
for the stars I know she’ll shoot
she wonders what she will become

looking to the brilliant stars
subtle in the skies
such a wonder and she’s ours
such marvel in those eyes

will I be a star
brightly shining
or something less bizarre
looking for my silver lining

such possibilities to explore
bright future to embrace
so much sensation to adore
with strength the future I face

Now

Author notes

This is my niece and when I saw this shot of her. I saw the future in her awestruck eyes.

She's My Kid!

She is an amazing kid. I just saw this shot a few days ago. She's in colege now. and she is an amazing girl. It always amazes me that she looks so much like me, but then again she looks a lot like my brother (her dad) so I guess that explains that. thank for your encouragement sweetheart, and yes She will get a copy of this..
