Last night I had a dream about you
Nothing uncommon, I always do
But since I woke up my thoughts are amiss
Because in that dream you gave me a tender kiss
My mind has been on you all day
And thoughts of you simply won’t go away
It’s really been distracting, you see,
Because every moment I wish you were here with me
I just haven’t been myself today it seems
This dream has left a taste that’s bittersweet
Sweet because it was such a wonderful dream
But bitter because it was just that… a dream
