A.
Sleep
Oh precious oblivion take me.
Elusive
Drifting but just won't fall.
When the snoring starts, the dreams engendering fear arise
Like hands reaching for my feet while barely treading water
Ocean waves goodbye
Bobbing buoy so far away.
Jangling
Alarm clock sounds too soon
Cracking
Under the bed I have to make
Alone.
B.
Sleep
To forget
Bliss
Pain subsides
Peace
For a few hours
Hope
Returns on wings of sleep
Author notes
Trying hard to remember the good too. sometimes you get A. but sometimes you get B. to save your sanity.
Anybody having good dreams? wanna share?

Ooo, I like it.
First let me do all this, then I promise to address the poem.
Many apologies for never emailing you, but I too have been experiencing a great deal of change and everything is so stressful. (Migraine central *points to own head*) I am extremely glad you were allowed to stay on the site though.
That said, to answer your question there... I have had some interesting dreams, but they're only labeled "good" because I didn't wake up bloody or outside.
Finally, TO THE POEM:
I love it! Sleep is fantastic, and you've portrayed that brilliantly. You've also done well explaining how difficult it can be, and I applaud you highly for that.
I adore these lines:
"Like hands reaching for my feet while barely treading water
Ocean waves goodbye
Bobbing buoy so far away."

No problem with not emailing. I've barely been able to keep up with the emails I've been getting. Yeah, I'm glad they let me back. Dreams seem to plague me like seagulls these days. Thank you for the comment. Those lines are my favorite too and what inspired the whole damn thing. What's kinda funny is I didn't even remember writing this - I had been awake for about..30 hours and now have slept about 17 so yeah...
Talky to ya later. -

Haha, yeh. Emails are fairly bothersome at times, particularly when there are too many to keep up with.
Most welcome, darling. Yes, I have a few lines like that at the moment, but I've not yet come up with a poem to back them...
Ha! I'm glad someone else has experienced that before. Half the stuff I've posted on this site I didn't remember the next day- nothing like 14-17 hours of sleep to make you forget EVERYTHING.
Later hun.

beautifully written
I understand the concept for sleep is never the same...in rest and in dreams...you have your restful sleep or you'll toss and turn...dreams are the same...either they're beautiful or nightmares...(the tossing and turning happens here, too) awesome write...smile...hugs and love, David

First, thanks for your comment on "That Lady with the Leer."
This was neat. Reminded me of myself. I love to sleep. Whether it's just to dream or to escape reality. The ironic part is I have insomnia a lot.
Keep writing.
