It was almost two years ago that my life took a turn -
Down a path from which I'll never return.
A bumpy and twisty road, with many objects and people in the way
Trying to change my mind or end this "phase," but I wouldn't stray.
How I really arrived at this place, its hard to say
Though it seems the Goddess has lead the way.
While walking this path, I have learned so much -
About the world around me and the Goddess' loving touch.
Both my mind and heart have opened to everyone,
My spirituality awakened and my faith unbroken.
With all my new-found hope and faith, you can call me "born-again"
For it was when my eyes opened that I truly found kin.
My beliefs are simple, and don't follow just one creed -
Buddhist, Shaman, Wiccan and Green Witchcraft mixed well indeed.
Little pieces taken from them all, mushed together in union
Have given me a new conviction that's purely Pagan.
Down a path from which I'll never return.
A bumpy and twisty road, with many objects and people in the way
Trying to change my mind or end this "phase," but I wouldn't stray.
How I really arrived at this place, its hard to say

Author notes
I worked on this for a while, a few hours, lol. It still seems unfinished to me, but I can't think of more to add at the moment. Its my first really religious poem, since the one other I wrote about my loss of faith in Christianity, so...I'm still on the fence about it.
Hopefully y'all like it!

Strong write. Don't get off the fence. You're finding your own way, making your own choices--don't let man be your guide--let the Creator guide you. Be blessed! You are beautiful!--Kel

I just left you a long comment and somehow got taken away from the page, came back and it hadn't got posted. In brief my concepts are evolving too but I think that when seen with an open mind Christianity has much that's splendid so I'll stay on that road while benefitting from Hinduism and other ideas. Great to read about your journey. See ya in the debate group!

I have a hard one commenting on this one without sounding anal and ignorant.. so do give me a break.
I like this for the sake that it shows that you have quite a free spirit. Most of your poetry, I do not like the content of it because it upsets me for my own reasons, but whether I like it or not.. I try to look deeper into it...
You write in a form that expresses how you feel and that's despite what anyone is going to think.. or atleast I hope. It shows you as a free spirit and a very unique (in a positive way) person. I love that you can do that, and that you are able to go the path that you find most... i can't think of the word... satisfying?
Very well. -
Congrats for the silver. This is deserving indeed! We walk many path ways in spirit. Three cheers for you! You done such a great job. Sometimes we have to become "born again" to see spirit in a different light.
