Suppressed sleep

Turned away by society,
I crawl into a hole.
Nothing turns out right anymore..
I can’t do this forever.
Music blares in the wind,
As I try to drown everything out.
Nothing works…
A car horn can be heard,
Louder split seconds later…
I hear an impact…
And begin to smell smoke and sulfur…
I’m not sure why…
I close my eyes just wanting to sleep.
The heat becomes intense.
I go to pull off the blanket but realize,
There isn’t one there.
I open my eyes to see,
A roaring flame, encasing my car,
My hand slides to the door..
But it will not budge.
I try to move my legs to climb to the other side…
All I feel is a shooting pain,
No movement can be noticed.
As I drift back into my state of
Suppressed sleep.
