Ode to the Great Gobble God

Society thwarted at every turn by God,
Not the true God,
A false God,
One created by mankind to expediate his own destruction of the Earth.
This God set up by man is one and is many;
The Gobble God,
Who bids fair to swallow all in a single name,
A totally selfish humanity.

His ten commandments are him first,
Live as he only pleases.
Humans first,
Allow all other life to die for his benefit.
Sperm first,
No birth control.
Birth first,
No abortions.
Males first,
No women's rights.
His culture, tribe, language, religion first;
Seperatism, terrorism.
His race first,
No human rights.
His politics first,
The hypocritical conservative and liberal reactionaries.
His country first,
Wave the flag, the flag, the goddamned flag!
And above all else,
Profit first.

We for years have worshiped him,
We burn forests in his name,
We have deformed babies in his name,
We have war in his name,
We sell drugs in his name,
We set bombs in his name,
We worship him everywhere,
We call him by different titles,
We commit blasphemies in his name.

His followers reject mystery
And madness
And marvel.
They cannot tolerate questions.
They can believe any answer no matter how false so long as it is always nailed firmly onto  the cross of money.
They yearn for the rapture to come.
They do not know, however, they have killed rapture forever.
