Time to take a chance.

it was the wave of a hand
and a whitewash of a memory
painted once, twice over a slivered knot.
still there, and yet
-h-i-d-d-e-n- between the cracks and
spaces in a heartbeat.
those places where you still have a choice:

add another coat or strip & sand the surface?

we'll begin at the beginning
['take it slow?']
and finish at an unknown location.
Insert emotions when called for.
furthermore-
a beginning so close to an ending?
when someone tells you to breathe, you listen.
or learn to suffocate silently.

Inspiration?
Maybe.

experience the feeling of grass growing around
a foundation you didn't know you possessed.

I'll admit, you have me doubtful
had from the start of
this wonderful conversation
we like to call 'like.'
[it's that feeling so new and familiar-
you said it yourself.]
see that yard?
it's
where I danced while
showered
with little droplets of dreams we both wish
that we felt.

'muse'
[it echoes in the silence]

pound
a couple new nails
and you're cemented there with no way of escaping.

it was the wave of a hand
and the froth of a wave.
billowing once, twice over a single polished rock.
still there, and yet
-h-i-d-d-e-n- in the eyes and smiles
you seem to decipher.

do it again?

Author notes

It has a theme, but no central point, it's one of the mushiest I've ever written, and I absolutely adore this. =]

Enjoy.
