Ivory Isles

Shiver in the comforting, fondest air.
Like flowing sails, the wind is whipping up your hair.
Ships with arcane masts, crash upon the shore.
Billowing sands blow white like snow.

Angels move like they're surfing on the clouds,
With marigold eyes, they sing blessings from their mouths.
Dream, dear friend of these thoughts for awhile,
then you'll be free, to sail on Ivory Isles.

From the coast of the Sun, to the Valley of the Stars,
the pages of the cosmos flip and move with a start.
A start of coral waters, that begin to wave,
upon the ice-capped rockies of the Palace of the Brave.

"the palace of the brave"... that is very beautiful and reminded me of one of my favourite quotes: "Gentleness can only be expected from the brave". And this poem has such a lovely gentle, flowing, lifting feel about it... lovely poetry, Jay - what nice soft way to begin my day here.

This poem flows so well and has a lovely singing quality about it...simply lovely and it leaves the reader with the most serene and peaceful feelings...like floating away to palaces on high. I so liked the image of angels "With marigold eyes" - very creative. A very good poem of rhyme that falls so gently on the ears.
