memory slips through my mind
like a dagger in my flesh
which I can't help but twist
twisting my thoughts beyond comprehension
filling me with former lamentations
and failings with no excuses why
shall I not find this fatal flaw?
shall I forget myself and again repeat?
ah - let us forget this nonsense
there's little time left to reminisce.

i like that i can relate- we all overthink the bad or the memories where we were at fault...there's better things to keep in mind i think...
