and a pet is sometimes a persons best friend so to lose it can be very hard

Sad, yet very sweet write. This piece made me think of my dog who died back in December 2002 and he was like a brother to me. I don't think this piece is over the top at all. Pets are like a part of the family and their lives are valued just as much as any parent, relative, sibling or child. There was good expression of emotion in this piece, though it was sad. Good luck in the contest.

this was so sad and I actually thought that you were talking about a person, but then I saw the author's notes and realised that it was about your pet! I can relate. My kitten died from distemper and I still cry about it now and then. great write!

awwww i loved it. I know how you feel when you lose a pet that was so close to you. When i was 8 i lost my cat i got him from my gaurdian angel and he was named Prince Charming. Well we got him fixed and 4 days later i was moving into a new house and i got told that he died i didnt have to help my family move i jus sat in my moms room and cried for a while..but listen your dog is always going to be in your heart just like my cat prince charming is going to be in mine they will never leave that place. good luck in the contest
