Mother you are very dear to my heart,
I appreciate everything you have done for me
you had the chance to live a free life
free from raising a child....boy that would have been nice
You choose to hold on and you never let go,
I appreciate the fact that you let everyone know
that aborting me was not the way to be
the love you had....was just for me
You could have made that choice,
but you heard God's voice
It was oh so crystal clear that this decision was very near
No matter what was said, you lay in bed
crying until your eyes were all red
I really appreciate the effort you put forth...holding on to what mattered the most
not ending my life was a Blessed thing to do
I don't wonder anymore why the Lord always Blesses you
No poem could ever really explain...how quickly our lives could have changed
You held on to God's unchanging hands
You defeated the decision that was made by man
Thank you again, for being my very first friend
You will always be in my heart til the very end.
