She sat there, sad and alone on the swing,
swaying gently as words sang from her voice.
As her gaze continued to the next seat,
I noticed it was empty, but did she?
It appeared she sang her tune to noone,
yet, the empty space swaued too.
Back and forth, back and forth, in unison.
Two swings, one girl, one sad song, one blue heart.
I noticed her eyes would search through the trees,
beckoning noone, or so it did seem.
Her sad eyes pleaded with someone to come.
A tear fell from my eye for this sad soul.
My heart gladdened when she slowly stood---tall.
Patting the seat which had sat so empty,
she spoke sords of faith I had never heard.
"Thank You God for swinging beside me now,
I'll meet you tomorrow so we can fish.
I know you'll be there as you are each day,
holding my hand and bringing me smiles
as you chase all my great sadness away."
As the girl slowly left the swinging seat,
I quietly made my way through the park.
As I sat on God's lap He embraced me.
His love took all my loneliness away.
Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must befriendly himself.
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Please tell me what you think

Beautiful
This is beautiful...I love the powerful faith in God that you've written here...knowing that He's here, even when sometimes it doesnt feel like it...I love that it speaks of His love and compassion...Of how up close and personal He is (not up there, uninvolved)...
Great job...
God loves you!
God bless
thanks for sharing!
