Ready with pen in hand to make the world better
Unable to resist the opportunity to please you
Every time I feel blue he is there to cheer me
Being his friend gives me poems to absorb
Each time I read his work I feel a mental turbulence

Never has such poetry move me so often
Having Reuben here you can stop your search
Another way to relieve your phobia
Yet when he writes his words are timely
Never before has there been a more gentle man
Extra time he gives to each penned note
Sending wisdom to all his readers

Author notes

Acrostic Shadow is a simple poem that does not necessarily rhyme. The first and the last letters of each line spell a word if read vertically; usually the title of the poem.

    another work of brilliance
    you do write really good
    and having some of your poems as dedications
    its really sweet of you to do that
    you make me think and wonder (again)
    how a rhyming acrostic shadow would sound like
    as i said before
    I must try this form one day

    This was really good. I have never seen one done like this. I really enjoyed this trementdously! I love seeing tributes to other poets and this one is amazing! Keep that pen flowing!!!!!!!!!

    I am a friend of Ruebens and I think this is so true. He is a wonderful man and has been there for me alot. He even picked me up after class when it was really cold out!! This is a wonderful piece for him!!
