one of a kind, a fortunate find

how you can go from "you must have thought / i was incapable of spilling milk:" with semantical magic weaving sensual, deep, intimate, yet so very uniquely styled verses that describe such a deep connection into those three words, not just written but emoted--'stay with me', boggles my mind. for in those three words the weight of the rest of the piece balances out so beautifully and falls lightly like a feather into that last line--not to say that the last line is to be taken lightly at all, just that the rythym and flow to it alows it flow from your lips lightly, precisely, oh so ......... just right.

Yes, it is "Mona Lisa in White", from the milk to the last three words.

I am just sitting here, after reading it aloud three times, letting it resonate still. My pen is green with envy, and it used to have purple ink.

Colin, I am jealous of you for having such a beautiful piece written specifically for you. You are one fortunate man.

Thank you for sharing this. With your permission, Antique, I will copy this into my old-fashioned hand written journal, where I can treasure it and study it. It never hurts to set ones goals higher.

Apologies I'm so behind on comments, my life kinda fell apart and the glue is still drying.

oh my god, I'm so glad you're posting stuff again, I missed going to your page and being inspired by your beautiful stuff!

This is gorgeous, it's so all over the place, but it makes so much sense. [unlike me, I seem to be incapable of forming coherent thought at the moment. ]

It was emotional and amazing. :] yay!

    *huggle attack*

You're back!!!!!!! [at least I hope! *crosses fingers and toes*]

as always my luffly butterfly doll, this was nothing less than gorgeous. It was tantilzing [in a way] with your beautiful language. Very capitivating and engaging. It was full of stale fairytale enchatments and all the distored prettiness that goes with it.

I could relate to this a lot when reading it, the truth, kind of stung in a way. I don't know why. But something I can't pin point, something in the truth and message of this, hurt to read.

Beautiful, this was outstanding, Aimee. I hope that you continue to post more.

I've missed you mucho and loverzzzzz you!

    beautiful piece

very taking descriptions of feelings and great use of imagery... the poem unfolds into a dramatic path of raw emotions. i kept feeling it was becoming more and more numb as well as more and more alive, quite out of control really. thanks for sharing, hope to read more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Spellbindingly beautiful

from the depths of butterfly requiems and glass moons, this poem rises like a phoenix gilded with wings made of resurrection love; the sliding stanzas each reveal a paragon of unique and astounding metaphors as the imagination envelops the craft and deftly guides syllables to and from the heart. The poem creates a timeless dreamscape feel as though the ineffective and mundane have been forsaken for the most profound of moments; spellbound notion....this poem stands alone and begs for attention, because the emotive cadence of its language is original, rare and heart-drippingly exciting. Mona Lisa in white; poetry in artistic gold.

any thoughts that i could summon the ability to express
so completely pale in comparison to what is felt when reading this...to me, the foundation of the craft is the feelings that inspire the author to perform...and no matter what the production may be, you perform flawlessly...i wish to be more direct, but at the very least, just know that this is absolutely captivating.
