Abandoned Amniotic Angst - HM

Missing image
I was a moment’s thought,
perhaps a mad moment,
but I became netted with best wishes
for peace and love and all things good.

I doubled, tripled, tumbled from the good heaven
to a grating earth where I emerged, gasping
at the raw air and reality.

Umbilical accordance kept me tied,
drawing in sucking motions
on the ever thinning strand
between here and there.

Oh how I wanted to climb
up the red walls of power and control
to make my way back home.

I have fallen and cannot rise
beyond the pale view of a horizon
I am so very addicted too.

Catch me, as I jump, and draw me up,
with the net of amniotic sac of heaven
that will hold and nurture me
in an easy world.

Author notes

It woudl be so easy to believe in heaven if we were there.

Soemtimes when I think the cord is completely gone, I realize most that it is fuller than ever. I am thinking the spiritual cord is as wide as the Universe.... *smile*

Thank you, Sam. I always have a need to sort things. Writing sorts my thoughts for me.

My mind is always busy...I read a great deal, and write a great deal more than I read. When I do my arts, I am always thinking. Sometimes way tooo hard. Ty pen friend.

Oh I LOVED those first two lines, absolutely adored them. As a matter of fact, I found it inspiring that every first line of every stanza was beautifully executed. Makes me want to go write some more poetry of my own and hope that it's half as good. When I run across something like that, read something this catching, I can't help but honor it with a comment

What a kind comment, my friend. I find such a community as this very inspiring. When life isn't shooting zapping ideas....this place does.

Ahhh, my Sister...You're singing the chorus of Heaven every time you pick up your pen, my dear Friend...Such longing fills the page...We shall cross this distant horizon one fine day & walk through the gates of Glory...& if I don't see ya on this side of the line, I'll find ya in the garden once we get there...
