Energizer's Bunny is in my Head

Weak, baby
weakness and wish-for-death
Words rattle in my head like lost
car keys in the dryer
Over and over, old
like Lucifer's sins

And healing wounds run
deeper in the skin
than open gaping hurt

Blip, blip
schizophrenic arguments
overrun my poison thoughts
Writing them down to
tune them out but it doesn't
really hep any more than
fixing the breaks
on a truck with no
engine--
It still doesn't make it run.

Dividers and neatly labelled chapters
Unorganized chaos is just chaos
Myriads of messed up habits and
broken down tears-- a china doll
with cracks and missing pieces.

[Words rattle], chanting
Chant inside my ears
Secrets and fears and morbid lies

Disappear.
Never forgotten.

    Even though this may not be what anyone else would have thought of entering I am very glad you did because I absoluetly adored it! Everything about it, which to some would seem unrelated, is profound and astounding. I specifically liked the wisdom in the line;
    "fixing the breaks
    on a truck with no
    engine--
It still doesn't make it run."
Thankyou for entering such an awesome piece

I can't believe nobody has commented this yet. This is one of my favorite poems of yours. The disjointed wording and the imagery work so well together to create a tapestry of WHOA-THIS-IS-GREAT material. *nods* Love it, my dear.
